Quickstart Checklist
This checklist takes you from unboxing to a deployed, trackable bike. Each step links to the detailed guide.
Before You Start
- Identify your lock model (Classic / PRO, with or without GPS, external power) — see the Lock Model Overview. Several steps below depend on it.
- Check the delivery for included mounting screws / flex adapters and, if ordered, plug-in cables or chains.
1. Set Up Your Accounts
- Register your company account at the tracking portal — or log in with the credentials shipped with your order. See Account Setup & Applications.
- Send your order number and portal email address to support@ishareit.bike so your locks get linked to your account.
- Install the I SHARE IT Service App (Android / iOS) on your service staff's smartphones.
- For GPS models: review your GPS tracking subscription (free for 14 days from shipment, then chargeable) at ilockit.chargebeeportal.com/portal/. See GPS Tracking Subscription.
2. Prepare the Hardware
- Fully charge every lock before mounting (solid red button LED = charging, LED off = full). See Charging & Installation.
- Mount the lock on the rear wheel using the method matching your frame (threaded bushes or universal adapters).
- For GPS Premium models: connect the lock to the e-bike power supply if applicable. See E-Bike Power Connection.
3. Configure Each Lock
- Connect to the lock with the Service App and verify battery state, firmware and hardware version. See Lock Configuration.
- Install available firmware updates.
- Configure alarm, sounds, and button behaviour to your fleet policy. See Alarm & Theft Tracking.
- Test locking and unlocking once via the app. See Lock Operation.
4. Verify Fleet Visibility
- Check that every lock appears in the tracking portal with a green (online) status (GPS models; the first satellite fix requires open sky and may take a few minutes).
- Export the Tokens & Color Code report and store it securely — you need the color codes for emergency manual unlocking and the QR codes for service staff access.
5. Plan Operations
- Set up a charging / battery monitoring routine — see Battery Management.
- Schedule periodic mechanical inspections — see Maintenance Schedule.
- Bookmark the Troubleshooting section and the LED & Sound Signal Reference for your helpdesk.
