Alarm & Theft Tracking
All I LOCK IT B2B locks include an integrated motion-based alarm system — except the Essential Edition (DC…), which ships without an alarm (see the Lock Model Overview). Locks with GPS additionally support automatic theft tracking. This page explains how these functions behave in the field and how to configure them for your fleet.
How the Alarm Works
When the alarm function is active, the integrated 3D motion sensors analyze any movement of the bike while it is locked. If the movement pattern could indicate a theft attempt:
- The lock starts a loud acoustic alarm (110 dB on PRO locks) that persists for about 30 seconds.
- If motion continues after the alarm stops, the alarm is automatically reactivated.
- When a smartphone is in Bluetooth range, the active alarm is displayed in the Service App and can be stopped there. Stopping the acoustic signal does not disable the alarm function itself.
Automatic GPS Theft Tracking
This section applies to all locks with GPS. When a constant tracking lock (Premium models) is in low power mode it behaves like an alarm tracking lock — see Battery Management.
If the lock is equipped with a GPS module, triggering an alarm additionally:
- Sends an alarm event to the server, visible in the tracking portal.
- Instantly starts high-accuracy GPS emergency tracking so you can follow the asset on the map.
- If the asset stops moving, GPS collection safely shuts down after 15 minutes to preserve the remaining battery capacity. Tracking frequency is also reduced again when the lock is opened or a user connects to it.
Configuring the Alarm
The alarm is configured per lock via the Service App (see Lock Configuration):

:::tip Reducing False Alarms Frequent false alarms drain the battery of GPS locks because each alarm activates GPS and cellular connectivity. If your fleet is parked in busy public areas (e.g. bikes get bumped regularly), reduce the alarm sensitivity and enable the pre-alarm so brief contact only triggers a short warning tone. :::
