Application & Pairing Diagnostics

Resolve connection deadlocks between on-site service personnel devices, the I SHARE IT Service App, and local Bluetooth configurations.

1. Bluetooth Connection Timeouts (3 Blue Flashes)

If the lock button flashes blue 3 times, it indicates that an established Bluetooth connection to the maintenance smartphone or transponder has dropped.

  • Multiple Connections Conflict: The lock can only hold one active Bluetooth pairing at a time. If another employee's smartphone or an old device is still linked nearby, the lock will reject new connections or can not be found. Ensure all other nearby sharing/service apps are force-closed.
  • Proximity Check: Ensure the maintenance worker is within immediate physical distance (under 5 meters) of the rear wheel. The maximum Bluetooth range is about 10 meters under good conditions.

2. Emergency Bypass via Color Code Fails

A technician can open the lock manually using a sequence of 6 button presses. If this fails:

  • Active Connection Interlock: The color code cannot be entered if a smartphone is actively paired to the lock via Bluetooth. Disconnect or step away from the bike.
  • Input Timeout: You have exactly 5 seconds after each entry step to begin the next color press. If you hesitate longer, the sequence aborts.
  • Security Lockout: Entering an incorrect code 3 times within a 3-minute window triggers a 5-minute hard lockout. The button will flash red, and all button inputs will be completely ignored until the timer expires.

See Lock Operation for the full color code entry procedure and the LED & Sound Signal Reference for all signal patterns.

3. The Lock Behaves Erratically or Won't Open/Close Reliably

Work through the following escalation steps:

  1. Restart the smartphone and the app, then reconnect.
  2. Restart the lock via the Service App., then try again.
  3. Install a firmware update via the Service App if the problems persist after a restart.
    tip

If possible, open the lock first, then install the update — firmware updates can only be installed while the lock is open.

  4. Check the vehicle wiring on models with external power supply — a loose connection cable can cause erratic behaviour.
