Mechanical & Hardware Faults

1. The Lock Indicator Flashes Red & Fails to Close​

If the lock button flashes red accompanied by a 3-times warning tone, it indicates a physical interruption.

  • Symptom - Spoke Collision: The locking bolt hits a bicycle spoke directly. Although most locks features a internal or external Dynamic Spoke Alignment (DSA) system that allows it to pass most obstacles automatically, extremely thick spokes or odd angles can still block the bolt path.
    • Solution: Manually roll the bicycle a few centimeters forward or backward to clear the bolt path, then re-trigger the action.
  • Symptom - Vehicle Motion Interlock: An attempt was made to lock the system while the bicycle was moving.
    • Solution: The bicycle must be completely stationary to perform locking operations.

2. The Lock Refuses to Open (Jammed Bolt)​

When an unlock command is sent, the lock flashes red because the locking bolt mechanism is under heavy lateral stress.

  • Cause: The bicycle is leaning heavily, or a spoke is pressing firmly against the side of the locking bar.
  • Solution: Relieve the mechanical pressure by gently rotating the rear wheel forward or backward.
